Socktopuses are one of many items that can be collected from the Fresher Fish Market and the Freshest Fish Market, so if you want a higher chance of getting the item in the kingdom store, place citizens at both facilities. Give them some time to collect a few items, and eventually you’ll find socktopuses in your kingdom store. A much easier and slightly less random method is to build a Fresher Fish Market (requires a level 2 kingdom) and place a citizen in the facility. Unfortunately, that’s not a very reliable way to find socktopuses. Like most other sea-related items, you can find socktopuses randomly by sailing the oceans of Ni No Kuni 2.
